Senior Project Manager- Mechanical Contractor

$150-$200k DOE

 

A well-established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. This is a key leadership role focused on the seller-doer model, where you’ll not only manage projects but help drive the business forward by building client relationships and bringing in new work.

You’ll work alongside another strong PM and lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, handling estimating, scheduling, client communication, and overall execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively pursue and secure new project opportunities (seller-doer model)

• Develop proposals, create estimates, and manage bidding process

• Oversee preconstruction planning, budgeting, and client expectations

• Lead project teams and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations

• Monitor project progress, schedule, and budget throughout all phases

• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a high standard of service

• Review technical drawings and specifications; identify scope gaps and cost-saving opportunities

• Resolve issues in the field quickly and effectively

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Mentor junior staff and contribute to overall team growth

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of project management experience in mechanical or commercial construction

• Experience in HVAC, piping, or plumbing systems preferred

• Proven track record of securing and managing profitable projects

• Strong estimating and preconstruction planning skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities

• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and estimating software

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)

• Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD/Revit

• Estimating tools: FastPIPE, QuoteSoft, OST

• CRM & Financial tools: Salesforce, Sage 300, Viewpoint (if applicable)

• Standard PPE for jobsite visits
