Sheet Metal Fabricator/Hand Straightener | Direct Hire, Full-Time

Location: Coventry/Andover, CT area

Pay rate: $20-30/hr

Schedule:

• 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
• 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3:25 pm to 1:45 am (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and form sheet metal parts using hand tools, presses, brakes, and forming equipment
• Perform hand straightening, flattening, and contour correction to meet dimensional and flatness requirements
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface defects, and overall conformance
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and straight edges
• Remove minor defects such as burrs, dents, and warping
• Maintain part quality while meeting production schedules
• Document work completed per quality requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication and hand straightening experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
• Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and other aerospace alloys
• Skilled in using hand tools and forming equipment
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work assigned shift and overtime as needed
