Senior Final Inspector

Located in Coventry, CT

Salary: $40+/hr

Senior Final Inspector | Direct Hire, Full-Time

Location: Coventry/Andover, CT area

Pay rate: $40+/hr

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform final visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts and assemblies prior to shipment
• Verify parts meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Inspect for burrs, sharp edges, surface defects, edge break, and finish requirements
• Utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators
• Review and complete inspection reports, certifications, and quality documentation
• Identify, document, and disposition nonconforming material per company procedures
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards
• Support first article inspections (FAI) and customer audits as required
• Mentor and support junior inspectors and production personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area
• Follow all safety, quality, and company policies

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or technical training preferred)
• 5+ years of inspection experience, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Extensive experience with precision measuring instruments
• In-depth knowledge of final inspection and acceptance criteria
• Experience working in regulated quality systems (AS9100 / ISO 9001)
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work independently and make quality decisions
