Burr Bench Operator | Direct Hire, Full-Time

Location: Coventry/Andover, CT area

Pay rate: $18-25/hr

Schedule:

• 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
• 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3:25 pm to 1:45 am (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface defects from machined parts using hand tools, grinders, and deburring equipment
• Perform edge break, chamfering, and surface finishing per engineering and quality requirements
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
• Maintain part quality while meeting production schedules
• Safely operate bench tools such as die grinders, belt sanders, files, and abrasive wheels
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Document completed work and report nonconforming parts
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–3 years of deburring or bench experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to read basic blueprints and tolerances
• Experience using hand tools and measuring instruments (calipers, gauges)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Willingness to work assigned shift and overtime as needed
