CNC Milling Machinist

Located in Coventry, CT

Salary: $20-30/hr

CNC Milling Machinist | Direct Hire, Full-Time

Location: Coventry/Andover, CT area

Pay rate: $20-30/hr

Schedule:

• 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
• 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3:25 pm to 1:45 am (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis)
• Load and edit CNC programs; adjust tooling and offsets as required
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
• Machine parts to exact specifications and tolerances
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
• Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
• Document production and inspection results as required
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and production standards
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of CNC milling experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators)
• Knowledge of CNC machining principles and tooling
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work assigned shift and overtime as needed
