Receptionist / Office Lead – CPA Firm

Job Type: Temporary with Possibility of Evaluation-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible); overtime or half-day Saturdays may be required during peak tax season
Pay: $18–$26 DOE
Location: Stayton, OR


Overview:
A well-established CPA / tax accounting firm is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receptionist / Office Lead to support operations during the busy tax season (late December through July/October). This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a professional accounting office. There is potential for permanent hire for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the front desk receptionist and first point of contact for CPA firm clients

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls in a professional manner

  • Schedule client appointments and manage the office calendar

  • Assist with in-office tax document drop-offs and client intake

  • Copy, organize, and assemble tax files for CPAs and tax preparers

  • Support administrative operations within a busy accounting office


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior receptionist, office assistant, or administrative experience

  • Experience working in a CPA firm, tax office, or accounting environment is helpful but not required

  • Familiarity with tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, client intake forms) is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills
