Our Scarborough client, a leading food supplier, is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Create and issue purchase orders to vendors
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to forecast procurement needs
• Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, vendor codes, vendor data, and part information
• Communicate with vendors to confirm order details and resolve any discrepancies or delays
• Track open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Support the procurement team with supplier negotiations and contracts
• Reconcile purchase orders against invoices and delivery receipts
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2 years of Purchasing or Procurement experience
• Experience working in Foody Manufacturing or Food Distribution industry
• Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Bonus Qualifications:

• Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese (asset)
• Experience using inventory management systems (Netstock, Fishbowl, QuickBooks, or similar (asset)
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

 Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Pay Rate: $20-24 per hour (based on experience)
