Material Logistic & Processing Operator

Direct Hire, Full-Time

 

Location: Wallingford, CT

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Pay rate: $17-25/hr

Duties:

• Receive raw materials on the loading dock from various logistics and trucking companies
• Match receiving paperwork and Certificates of Conformance to work orders
• Note any discrepancies in the ERP system and communicate internally as needed
• Open, sort, inspect boxes, and stage materials for counting and inspection
• Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
• Prepare raw materials for production using band saws and chop saws
• Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry
• Perform vibratory finishing of machined parts using vibratory tumblers
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with driving Forklifts required
• Basic understanding of a Machine Shop
• Basic shop math skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Shipping experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools
• Desire to grow and learn new skills
• Portrays a can-do attitude
• Team collaboration skills
• Read, write, understand English
