Tarp Repair Technician

 

1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm CST

Monday-Friday

 

Pay $16/hr. 

*Work in a climate-controlled atmosphere!

 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Roll out tarp and inspect for damage.
• Evaluate the extent of damage to the tarp, which could include tears, holes, or wear/tear on the tarp.
• Patch and sew tarps for repair.
• Conduct tracking of receipt, repair, and distribution of all tarps.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Other shop cleaning duties as assigned such as truck and trailer detailing.

Expected Results: Ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

 

Skills Required: 

• Communicate effectively with Shop team, management, and our Professional Drivers.
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to support our teams, follow directions, and take ownership of equipment & facilities maintenance while meeting critical deadlines.

 

Qualities Required: Good attendance. Teamwork is critical. Excellent communication.

 

Experience Required: Hands-on experience with tarp materials helpful.

 

Physical Requirements: Lifting and carrying heavy tarps,ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Requires using safe lifting techniques. 

 

Education Requirements: High school/GED
