Location: Northbrook, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $32 per hour

 

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Manager / CDL B Driver for our client in Northbrook, IL. This role is primarily an in-house warehouse and shipping/receiving management position with a driving component as needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable managing daily logistics, inventory, and scheduling while supporting local deliveries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, schedule, and manage inbound and outbound deliveries
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations from an indoor receiving dock
• Load, unload, and protect high-value finished woodwork/millwork
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure accurate documentation
• Maintain inventory accuracy, organize materials, and manage warehouse stock levels
• Make local deliveries and pickups as assigned
• Organize, maintain, and distribute tools and supplies for construction job sites
• Maintain job site tool lists and support safety protocols
• Operate power tools and material-handling equipment as needed
• Demonstrate excellent forklift operation skills for loading, unloading, and staging materials
• Manage and maintain company vehicles (2 trucks and 3 passenger vehicles), including basic cleaning and maintenance
• Drive company vehicles as needed, including box trucks (note: another full-time driver is primarily on the road)

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse management, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and driving
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills
• Advanced forklift experience
• Proficiency with power tools commonly used in warehouse and construction support environments
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. continuously
• Fluent in English with the ability to read shipping lists and engineering drawings
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Ability to accommodate flexible start times and overtime, including off-hours deliveries to construction sites
