HVAC Technician – Job Description

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Technician who knows their way around heating, cooling, and ventilation systems—and doesn’t panic when the thermostat says “ERROR.” This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems to keep operations running smoothly and temperatures where they belong.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and make timely repairs

• Perform routine preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

• Ensure systems comply with safety, environmental, and building codes

• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with supervisors or clients

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components

• EPA Certification (required)

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues

• Experience with commercial and/or residential systems (specify if needed)

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions

• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• HVAC certifications or trade school training

• Experience with chillers, boilers, or industrial HVAC systems

• Strong customer service skills
