Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Airgas Store & Warehouse
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$21 per hour

 

Job Summary

Airgas is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Material Handler to support daily store and warehouse operations. This role involves handling and moving welding gases and supplies, loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts, and ensuring accurate inventory control. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery trucks with welding gas cylinders and related supplies
• Safely handle, move, and store gas cylinders in compliance with safety regulations
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and pallets throughout the warehouse
• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect materials for damage
• Stock shelves and maintain organized inventory in the warehouse and store area
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pickup or delivery
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all Airgas safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Forklift experience required (certification a plus or willing to obtain)
• Experience handling industrial supplies or gas cylinders is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Strong attention to safety, detail, and organization
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

• Warehouse and retail store setting
• Exposure to industrial materials and welding gases
• Physical role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and moving materials
