Maintenance Technician

Located in Ames, IA

Express Employment Professionals of Ames, IA has partnered with a local company located in Boone, IA who is currently seeking an individual with prior experience with Machine Maintenance!

The main responsibility in this role is ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

This is a long-term, full-time position starting at $30/hr, hourly wage is dependent on experience!

Environment:

• This is a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexible)
• Candidate must be comfortable working in a smaller production facility and collaborating with various departments

Duties:

• Fixing machines
• Working with electrical and wiring components
• Diagnosing and fixing motors, small to medium and large machines

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Prior machine maintenance experience.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
