A local company in Conroe, TX  area is searching for a detail-oriented Production Planner to coordinate customer orders, manage production scheduling, and optimize material planning through SAP/ERP systems. This position is essential to maintaining seamless production operations and fulfilling customer requirements.  Summary of essential job functions:

• Process manual customer orders in SAP ensuring accurate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and delivery timelines
• Oversee EDI orders to confirm timely system entry within established lead times and MOQs
• Sustain ongoing communication with customers through phone, email, and additional channels
• Deliver responsive support throughout the order lifecycle 
• Issue daily work orders to support production activities and keep manufacturing lines operational
• Develop production schedules aligned with customer demand while proactively addressing material shortages and capacity limitations
• Participate in material shortage reviews and daily production status meetings
• Manage current and projected production orders, including forecasted demand, to maintain sufficient manufacturing capacity

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• 3 or more years in production planning roles
• Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities including data analysis and advanced functions
• Effective communication skills for interaction with customers, management, and operations teams
