Furniture Retail Manager - Sales

Located in tigard, OR

We’re seeking a motivated Retail/Sales Manager to lead a small sales team at a local furniture store. In this role, you’ll oversee daily sales operations, track key performance metrics, and ensure the team meets revenue and profitability goals. This is a hands-on position that combines leadership, customer service, and operational management to help drive store success.

Job Duties:

• Lead and train the sales team, focusing on sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge
• Develop and implement sales strategies and word tracks to increase conversion rates
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
  • Overall revenue
  • Average item shelf time
  • Margin percentage/dollars
  • Monthly units sold
• Manage inventory systems, including monitoring shipments, restocking needs, and product aging (items over 18 months are priority to sell)
• Support commercial sales efforts, including large-scale office and business furniture orders
• Arrange and maintain the sales floor layout and displays
• Plan and execute advertising campaigns, promotions, and in-store events
• Assist with moving and staging furniture as needed (team lifts required for items over 50 lbs)
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the store
