Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:00am–5:30pm (4 ten-hour days)
Pay: $20.00-$23.00

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our growing machine shop in Ft. Myers. This facility manufactures precision parts for heavy machinery, aerospace, industrial tools, and production equipment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or production experience and a strong interest in quality inspection. This is a great long-term opportunity with room for growth, skill development, and pay advancement.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Inspect machined parts and components to verify tolerances based on blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure initial production meets specifications.
• Inspect incoming/raw materials before production to ensure conformity to quality standards.
• Document all inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Assist production and machining teams with quality-related questions or concerns.
• Perform sampling inspections during production runs to ensure ongoing product quality.
• Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment if required (training may be provided).
• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic, dye penetrant, or magnetic particle testing (if applicable).
• Identify non-conforming materials and assist with corrective action processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Quality and/or inspection experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or production background highly beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic measurements (training available).
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and inspection methods.
