Overview
We are seeking an entry level Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our client's 1st shift team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairing presses, machines, conveyors, general facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. This is a long-term, contract to hire position with excellent benefits upon conversion to permanent.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain building, production machines, and other equipment throughout plant.
• Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, or replacements on motors, controls, and other electric equipment.
• Responsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly, and press departments.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices.
• Responsible for all PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment.
• Required to follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures.
• Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
• Active participant in Team meetings
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients.
• Knowledge of lockout-tagout.
• Ability to read manuals, prints and schematics.
• Experience using diagnostic tools is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
