Our Berks County area client is seeking a Shop Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic to perform repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, tractors, and light-duty vehicles. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and experience with standard shop tools and equipment.

Pay: $26.00/hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, Could work up to 10 hour days

Location: Berks County, PA

 

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines

• Service exhaust, transmission, and drivetrain systems

• Repair cooling, fuel injection, and electrical systems

• Perform preventive maintenance (P.M.) and LOF services

• Inspect and repair wheels, tires, brakes, shocks, and suspension components

• Perform road service when needed

• Repair body damage and related components

• Service pumping systems and fuel hoses

• Use diagnostic tools to test and evaluate vehicle systems

• Complete quality inspections before returning vehicles to customers

Qualifications:

• Previous mechanic experience (fleet maintenance preferred)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of shop equipment and safe operation

• Valid driver’s license (must meet motor vehicle policy)

• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain
