Customer Service Representative / Shipping Clerk

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative / Shipping Clerk to join our client’s distribution center. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, hardworking, goal-oriented, and punctual. Teamwork, speed, and accuracy are highly valued, so attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions precisely, multitasking, and double-checking work are essential.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks

 

 Key Responsibilities

• Enter accurate information into computer systems
• Generate and proofread printouts, correcting discrepancies
• Utilize software tools and follow established procedures
• Perform clerical duties (photocopying, typing, faxing, etc.)
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions
• Go the extra mile to assist customers
• Provide support to other departments as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Shipping & Logistics Duties

• Create Bills of Lading
• Generate shipping labels (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Prepare Commercial Invoices for international shipments
• Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in an orderly manner
• Prepare freight and small parcel shipments
• Provide freight quotes upon request

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred
• 2–3 years of customer service experience required
• Previous shipping experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong data entry and typing skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong reading and comprehension skills
