Facility Maintenance/Operations Associate

Express is partnering with an established client that has locations in both Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties.  They have a need for a Facility Maintenance/Operations Associate to work full-time between both locations.  

 

Essential Job Functions:
· Provide exceptional service to customers.
· Work with the safety of self and others as a top priority.
· Must be self-motivated and self-managed to identify and complete assignments.
· Conduct daily visual audits of entire complex, lock checks and space audits.
· Assist in over-locking and unlocking of delinquent/recently current units.
· Be knowledgeable about and able to explain the leasing and/or truck rental process to     customers.
· Rent storage units and/or rental trucks efficiently while accurately completing   agreements/contracts.
· Sell merchandise such as packing/moving supplies and insurance to protect our   customers’ goods.
· Responsible for taking payments and recording receipts and other information into the   computer utilizing company
 provided software.
· Maintain vacant units in clean, rentable condition at all times and maintain cleanliness of   overall property.
· Perform property maintenance both inside the facility and on the grounds including, but   not limited to; sweeping, changing light bulbs, painting, cutting grass, trimming trees,   cleaning drains, and removing debris in storage units.
· Maintain equipment – complete preventive maintenance as needed and ensure equipment   is secure and inventoried.
· Actively participate in construction projects as they arise.
· Coordinate auctions with Operations Manager on as-needed basis.
· Regular on-time attendance.

 

Physical Demands:
Nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information; collect, compile and prepare work documents; and operate hand and powered tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, to climb up and down ladders, walk on uneven surfaces, maneuver around physical obstructions while performing various maintenance and inspection duties.

 

Working Conditions:
Work performed in outside weather conditions and on self-storage/warehouse facility. May require extended hours during peak periods. Exposure to adverse weather conditions. Travel to various facilities within area.

 

Schedule: Every Saturday (8-hour work day) in the office at their location in Gaffney, SC as an Operations (Customer Service) Associate.

Remaining 32 hours per week you will be doing facility maintenance and will drive a company vehicle from Gaffney to Spartanburg. 

 

Pay: $18- $22 per hour depending on customer service and facilities maintenance experience and knowledge
