CNC Setup & Programmer – Mastercam (3, 4 & 5 Axis)
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $30 – $40 per hour

 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup & Programmer with strong Mastercam proficiency and hands-on experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC Mills and Lathe Machines. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-precision environment and is confident programming and setting up complex parts for aerospace-grade and heavy-industry applications.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis operations.
• Set up CNC machines including tooling, fixturing, work offsets, and machine zero points.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
• Optimize toolpaths for efficiency, accuracy, and precise tolerances.
• Conduct trial runs, verify program accuracy, and adjust as needed.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make immediate corrections.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure projects meet customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setup and programming experience (preferred in aerospace or high-precision industries).  Experience with mills and lathes.
• Strong knowledge of Mastercam programming for multi-axis machining.
• Experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, CAD files, and machining specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with machining exotic materials and tight-tolerance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
