Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Located in Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000

Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is looking to hire a full time Medical Malpractice Paralegal. This position is with an elite law firm located in the heart of center city, provides a long-term stable work environment, health benefits with premiums paid 100% by the employer, 20 PTO days upon hiring and not to mention exceptional pay.  This position supports partners of the firm. It is a high-volume firm seeking a long-term paralegal who is looking to excel in their position and open to growth opportunities.

Experience Required:

Paralegal with 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice (Non negotiable)
Ability to manage the complete legal process from pre-litigation to trial
Experience with time matters or other related programs
Experience arranging travel and lodging for expert witnesses during the trial

Expected Duties:

Identify and order records needed as well as track and follow up on medical records
Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, pre-trial memos, settlement memos, etc.
Assist in trial preparation (exhibits and expert dirt.)
Prepare summaries (inducing medical records, depositions, expert dirt. etc.)
Conduct legal research through Westlaw
Track distributions or settlement proceeds and prepares affidavits of compliance
Trial submissions: Voir dire, verdict sheet, points for a charge, etc.
Schedule experts for trial
Manage attorney's calendar/scheduling, expenses, and travel arrangements
