The Senior Facilities & Maintenance Technician is responsible for a wide range of building and equipment maintenance tasks across the facility. This role supports general upkeep, performs industrial maintenance, and handles troubleshooting and repair work involving electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Install, maintain, and repair various piping systems.
Perform service, inspection, and troubleshooting on HVAC units and related components.
Support maintenance of steam, boiler, and similar utility systems.
Work with industrial power systems, including:
Multi-phase motors
Air compressors and dryers
Powered industrial vehicles
Overhead lifting equipment
Industrial ovens and heating systems
Conduct general facility repair tasks, such as light construction, structural repair, basic carpentry, plumbing, and roof patching.
Run new electrical circuits, install disconnects, and interpret wiring diagrams.
Perform basic fabrication tasks, including use of mills, lathes, welding equipment, and saws.
7+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple technical disciplines.
Comfortable using computers for documentation and record-keeping (e.g., spreadsheets, digital logs).
Skilled with precision hand tools and measuring instruments.
Effective verbal and written communication ability.
Ability to apply problem-solving techniques and support continuous improvement efforts.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Professional and cooperative interaction with colleagues, leadership, and external partners.
Strong organizational habits and consistent daily housekeeping.
Able to stand for extended periods (up to most of a shift).
Able to move frequently throughout different areas of the facility.
Regular use of hands and fingers to work with tools, equipment, and materials, including light construction or repair tasks.
Ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs safely and effectively.
Capable of servicing equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, industrial ovens, and electric utility carts.
Ability to push or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to lift, move, or position items up to 40 lbs. at various heights.
Must be able to clearly communicate with employees, supervisors, and vendors.
Must be able to visually inspect parts, materials, and equipment for quality and safety.
