We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to keep our inbound and outbound material movement running smoothly at dahl Valve. This role works closely with Production, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to make sure materials flow properly, shipments go out on time, and everything is accurately recorded in our ERP system. Key Responsibilities:

 

• Plan and oversee daily outgoing shipments
• Work with LTL/FTL carriers, couriers, and customs brokers
• Double-check bills of lading, packing slips, export docs
• Make sure everything meets customer and regulatory requirements
• Track shipments and jump on any freight or delivery issues
• Oversee incoming materials, components, and supplies
• Match receipts to POs and packing slips
• Enter all receipts accurately into the ERP (Epicor)
• Coordinate inspections or urgent parts with Quality & Production
• Flag shortages, damages, or discrepancies with Purchasing & Suppliers
• Lead the Shipping & Receiving and Material Handling team
• Set daily priorities and make sure tasks get done
• Train, coach, and support team members
• Build a culture focused on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Keep shipping/receiving records clean and audit-ready
• Review freight invoices and highlight any cost variances
• Work with internal teams to improve carrier performance and cut freight costs
• Help maintain strong ERP data and support process improvements

 

Qualifications:

 

• College diploma or relevant experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
• 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience (manufacturing is a plus)
• 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
• ERP experience (Epicor experience is a bonus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of transportation, customs, and receiving procedures
• Forklift certification and shipping software experience are assets
