Jockey Driver - interviewing for 1st & 3rd shift

Located in Savannah, GA

A warehouse facility is searching for an experienced Jockey Driver. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely operate Jockey trucks to switch empty and full trailers and containers to and from shipping and receiving docks in the yard. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Promptly performs pulls and plugs on yard equipment.
• Opens container and trailer doors, places and sets seals.
• Make sure that safety chocks are in place during the loading process, are removed for return to the parking area, and then replaced while the trailer is parked. Places and removes jack stands as required.
• Complies with all safety and security measures.
• Locates and records equipment data upon request.
• Assists the Traffic Area Manager / Transportation Manager as required when not jockeying trucks.
• Other duties as assigned. 
• Shift is 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM 

 What we look for:

• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to back up without issues
• At least 12 months of Jockey Truck experience
• TWIC card is a plus but not required
• CDL is a plus but not required
