Mechanical Designer

Located in Waunakee, WI

Salary: $30 - $34/hr

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer, for our client- a manufacturing company located in Waunakee, WI.

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, ensuring design accuracy, and supporting the customization of products to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

-Create and maintain part numbers and Bills of Material (BOMs)

-Process and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN)

-Serve as a technical resource for North American operations

-Develop and update 2D and 3D component drawings

-Collaborate with global teams to resolve design issues beyond the scope of U.S. Design Engineering

-Produce proposal drawings to define product details for customers

-Modify existing product designs for customer-specific applications

-Generate certified drawings and supporting technical documentation

-Assist in developing internal processes for repetitive or standardized orders

-Perform other duties and project work as assigned

Requirements:

Education

2-year A.S. Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience

Experience:

-Experience performing a majority of the engineering and design responsibilities listed above

-Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software required; Inventor or SolidWorks preferred

-Understanding of GD&T required

-Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit at a desk for up to 10 hours per day
