Polymer Production Operator - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift Polymer Manufacturing Operator
Location: Nashua, MA
Salary: $21.00 - $23.00/hour
Hours:  – Mon to Thu 1 pm to 11:30 pm
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with formulas in the Polymer Dept to manufacture products.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from Department Supervisor.
• Use hand tools, power tools, scales, pumps, filters, controls, forklifts, & other equipment.
• Set up routine operations including inventory verification, mixing, pumping, & packaging.
• Read and understand formula, use proper equipment & inspect batch and raw material quality during process. Resolve and/or bring any problems to a supervisor’s attention.
• Assist in loading and sampling of batches as specified on formula.
• Maintain established quality and quantity standards.

Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

• Maintain daily production and formulation records as required
• Perform other related duties as required.

 

 

Position Requirements:

• Minimum education: HS diploma. Vocational training, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic reading and math skills
• Prior manufacturing (chemical) and forklift experience preferred
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Be able to use mechanical equipment to lift up to 650 pounds
• Complete training exercises (Procedure # SAFETY-TRAIN).
