Delivery Driver/Warehouse Helper - Baton Rouge

FULL-TIME

$17 / HR

7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Helper for a locally owned and operated rigging company near Downtown Baton Rouge.  This client has over 125 years of industry experience.  Valid Louisiana driver's License required and must know the Greater Baton Rouge area well, will be making local deliveries.  Will be driving a Ford 350 flatbed truck.  This is a well-established company that is looking for someone to hire and be a long-lasting employee with training and promotions/raises available.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Delivery Driver and Warehouse Helper:  

• Safely operate an F-350 flatbed truck with a trailer attached for deliveries.
• Tie down and secure the load on the back of the truck.
• Must know the Greater Baton Rouge area well to make efficient deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Team player and help out in other departments as needed.
• Assist with warehouse tasks, including organizing inventory and preparing orders.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

SKILLS & Experience NEEDED:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• MUST HAVE a current TWIC card. 
• Ability to drive a truck with a trailer confidently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Loading and unloading material and products.
• Open to learning and taking direction.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Must be nimble.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Previous warehouse or delivery experience required.
