Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Paint Helper to support our finishing and painting department. This role will focus on preparing surfaces by grinding, sanding, and cleaning parts before they are painted or coated. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable with hands-on labor in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grind, sand, and smooth metal, wood, or other surfaces to prepare for painting

• Assist painters with mixing, masking, and prepping materials

• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

• Inspect parts for defects or surface imperfections before finishing

• Handle parts and materials safely to prevent damage

• Assist with loading/unloading painted materials when needed

• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards

• Support additional shop or warehouse duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience in painting, surface prep, or general labor preferred but not required

• Ability to use grinders, sanders, and hand tools safely

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Dependable and able to work in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
