Our client was established in 1965 and is the largest steel coil coater in Canada and serves the Canadian marketplace. Currently employing approximately 170 full time employees and recognized as a safe and reliable company and serving the Canadian marketplace with most of their products used in residential, industrial and agricultural building applications.
Summary of Position:
The industrial Electrician will work as part of the Maintenance department to repair, inspect, replace, install, adjust and maintain plant equipment. The successful individual will have the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to provide troubleshooting and repair services.
Duties:
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
- Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance records
- Other duties as required
Skills & Requirements:
- Electrician’s License (442A) or Construction and Maintenance License (309A) with related work experience in North America. The position is a mix of mechanical and electrical/controls work.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Safety equipment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience is preferred with a preference given to those with a background in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures
