Customer Service Representative
Located in Eugene, OR
Salary: $25/hr
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative receives incoming inquiries from customers, assesses their needs, and prepares quotes and sales orders as requested. Follow up with customers after quoting and after the sale to promote and facilitate any improvements or additional sales. Keep the Plant Manager informed regarding customer timelines and product needs based on quotes and sales orders. Collaborate with engineering to create and verify application drawings, suggesting the proper material applications. Work with computer software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Epicor, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), and CRM Software (ACT).
Customer Service Rep Duties:
Quotation & Order Processing
• Receive and understand customer requirements and supply agreements
• Create, audit, and manage quotations for customers and distributors
• Produce cost estimations for both material and finished product designs
• Review orders for accuracy and follow up with customers as confirmation or
for corrective action
• Build and release the order document package to manufacturing
• Provide quick and professional responses to customer inquiries
• Answering phones, responding by email, and fax as needed
Applications
• Discuss applications directly with customers
• Provide product recommendations and advice
• Determine appropriate material
• Review dimensional requirement
• Contact customers and produce clarification as needed to ensure
effective communication of the design objective
• Perform basic math functions to convert between metric and US units, or as
needed
Technical Support
• Provide basic product support for customers, distributors,
and inside sales
• Support customers with material recommendations
• Provide a point of contact resource between customers and company
Customer Service Rep Qualifications:
• BS degree a plus
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service or technical support
• Experience with plastics or fiberglass is a plus
• Understanding of basic mechanical assemblies and processes is a plus
• Strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work with internal and external staff effectively and positively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be detail-oriented and thorough in all tasks
• Able to solve problems and/or manage conflict in a positive, respectful
manner
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency in Excel a
plus, Microsoft Outlook, Epicor a Plus
