Machine Operator – Manufacturing & Production Opportunities

Multiple Local Clients | Various Shifts & Experience Levels | Pay Ranges from $18 - 28/hour Depending on company and experience

Express Employment Professionals is always recruiting Machine Operators and Production Machine Operators for current and upcoming opportunities with local manufacturing companies.

We recruit for machine operating positions at varying experience levels—from candidates with hands-on production machine experience to experienced Machine Operators with setup, troubleshooting and precision inspection skills.

Shift, location and pay rates vary by client and individual opportunity.

Candidates with 5+ years of consistent Machine Operator experience may qualify for higher-paying opportunities based on their skills and the specific position.

MACHINE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

Depending on the position and client, responsibilities may include:

• Set up production machinery, including calibration, cleaning and preparation for production
• Operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and efficiently
• Control and adjust machine settings such as speed and other operating parameters
• Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machinery
• Monitor machines throughout the production cycle
• Check finished products for defects, flaws or machine-related issues
• Inspect manufactured parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers when required
• Perform periodic machine and equipment checks
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues that occur during production
• Make machine adjustments within the responsibilities of the position
• Keep accurate records of production, approved products and defective units
• Enter production information using basic computer systems when required
• Maintain production and activity logs
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized and safe

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Requirements vary by client and individual Machine Operator opportunity.

Relevant experience may include:

• Machine operation in a manufacturing or production environment
• Production equipment and high-speed machinery
• Machine setup and adjustments
• Manufacturing and production procedures
• Basic machine troubleshooting
• Quality inspection
• Calipers, micrometers or other measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and production data entry

Candidates should also demonstrate:

• Strong attention to detail
• Reliability and consistent attendance
• Commitment to workplace safety and required PPE
• Ability to follow production procedures and work instructions
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to read and understand production procedures in English

PAY & BENEFITS
Express Employment Professionals associates are paid hourly unless otherwise noted. Associates accrue paid sick leave in accordance with Connecticut law.
