Forklift Operator – 1st Shift (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Mesquite, TX
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Saturday overtime as needed)
Type: Temp-to-Perm

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a leading company in the Mesquite area. This role requires proficiency in both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, along with solid shipping and receiving experience.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to handle, load, and unload products
• Receive and check in parts accurately
• Pull and stage orders for shipment
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including reviewing Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Utilize RF scanners for inventory management
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed (not forklift-only work)

Requirements:

• OSHA-certified forklift operator (certification within the last year required)
• 3–4 years recent forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down)
• Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes
• Experience using RF scanners
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Dependable with reliable transportation
• Must be detail-oriented and safety-focused
• Ability to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment
• Solid work history and team-oriented attitude
• Must pass background and drug screening
