Retail Sales Associate – Sanibel FL

Express Employment Professionals has teamed up with a fun and well-established beach retail store on Captiva Island and is seeking an outgoing, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join their team!

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a great company that truly values its employees.

Pay & Perks:

• $16.00 per hour

• Seasonal bonuses

• One hour of paid drive time

Schedule:

Monday–Sunday, between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner

• Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and assistance with merchandise

• Respond to customer questions and inquiries while creating a welcoming shopping experience

• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the store with professionalism and style

Sales & Product Management

• Maintain a strong understanding of store merchandise and product features

• Assist with upselling and cross-selling products

• Restock shelves and maintain organized, visually appealing displays

• Assist with inventory and merchandising as needed

Operational Support

• Process customer transactions accurately using a POS system

• Handle cash and credit card transactions securely

• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment

• Assist with opening and closing procedures

Beachfront Experience

• Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the relaxed Captiva beach lifestyle

• Provide recommendations based on customer needs and preferences

• Assist with creative displays and promotions

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and strong punctuality

• Friendly, engaging personality with excellent communication skills

• Professional presentation and positive attitude

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting

• Previous retail experience is required

• Previous POS system experience is required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be flexible to work within the store's operating hours, including weekends
