Archer Heights, Chicago – Manufacturing/Production Facility
Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble garments or textile products.
Follow patterns and specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Inspect finished items for defects, trim excess threads, and maintain quality standards.
Handle different fabrics (cotton, polyester, denim, leather) with proper techniques.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating sewing machines.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise stitching.
Visual acuity to detect defects and align seams.
Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
Lift and move fabric rolls or finished products up to 25 lbs.
Proficiency in sewing machine operation (single-needle, multi-needle, serger/overlock).
Knowledge of garment construction and fabric handling.
Attention to detail and ability to meet production quotas.
Teamwork and communication with cutters, designers, and inspectors.
Problem-solving skills for minor machine adjustments.
Comfortable clothing suitable for machine operation.
Closed-toe shoes required (safety shoes or sturdy sneakers).
Hair must be tied back or secured; avoid loose accessories.
Aprons or smocks recommended to protect clothing.
