Grounds Worker

Located in Commerce, TX

Salary: $13.11/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Grounds Worker position for a Commerce, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Mow and maintain parks, fields, green spaces, and recreation areas
• Maintain courts, nets, playgrounds, and park facilities
• Repair and install sprinkler/irrigation systems
• Drag and line athletic fields
• Perform basic maintenance (painting, minor plumbing, carpentry)
• Operate equipment such as mowers, tractors, welders, buffers, and steam cleaners
• Perform custodial tasks including restroom cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, and pressure washing
• Remove graffiti, litter, and debris
• Plant and maintain landscaping including trees, shrubs, lawns, and flower beds
• Apply seed, fertilizer, soil treatments, and pest/weed control
• Inspect equipment and park structures for safety and needed repairs

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience (preferred)
• Ability to operate lawn and maintenance equipment
• Knowledge of basic building/grounds maintenance and safety procedures
• Ability to perform physical labor including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Reliability, dependability, and a positive attitude
