Heavy Equipment Operator

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

? Operate heavy equipment such as mini excavators, Doosan excavators, dozers, and additional machinery to move, load, grade, and excavate earth, gravel, rock, and other materials.

? Perform excavation tasks including trenching, backfilling, clearing, debris removal, and ground leveling in accordance with project requirements.

? Conduct daily preventative maintenance and safety inspections, including checking fluids, brakes, lights, tracks, hydraulics, and lubrication points.

? Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor instructions (including verbal cues and hand signals).

? Coordinate machine movements with ground crews, site supervisors, and engineers to maintain safety and workflow efficiency.

? Strictly follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and job-site protocols; promptly report incidents, near-misses, and equipment malfunctions.

? Assist with general labor tasks when needed and help maintain a clean, organized job site at the end of each shift.

? Load and unload equipment from transport trucks safely and securely.
