Do you love meeting new people and sharing your knowledge about local attractions? Join our team as a Visitor Center Associate and become the friendly face that welcomes travelers to Columbia County! You’ll help visitors discover the best our region has to offer while ensuring the center runs smoothly and professionally. Visitor Center Associate will work on an as needed basis.

Compensation: $14.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Saturday – 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (As Needed) 

Job Summary 

As a Visitor Center Associate, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors. Your role is to provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized center, and keep tourism materials up to date. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a passion for helping others. 

Responsibilities 

• Greet visitors warmly and provide tourism information about Columbia County and Georgia.
• Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or person.
• Receive and forward packages.
• Maintain a clean, organized Visitor Center and stocked brochure racks.
• Stay informed about local attractions, events, and travel industry updates.
• Conduct periodic checks for cleanliness, maintenance, and security.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Ability to problem-solve and handle issues professionally.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean Background
• Pass a Drug Screen
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping people.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Comfortable using modern office equipment and basic computer programs.
• Knowledge of Columbia County and Georgia attractions is a plus!
