1st Shift Forklift Driver/Tank Washer

 

Our client in Loves Park is looking for a Forklift Operator/Tank Washer to join their team. In this position you will be supporting production, shipping, and sanitation operations by safely moving materials and ensuring all chemical tanks and containers are properly cleaned, maintained, and prepared for reuse. This role works Mon-Fri 6AM-2:30PM and pays $17-$19 per hour depending on experience, however after getting hired on schedule will move to 8AM-4:30PM. Job Responsibilities: 

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, finished products, and empty tanks throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, stage materials for production, and maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Transport empty tanks and containers to the wash area and return cleaned tanks to the appropriate storage or production locations.
• Wash and sanitize chemical tanks following DuBois Chemical’s cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Inspect tanks for damage, residue, or contamination before and after cleaning, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Use high-pressure washers, cleaning solutions, and related equipment to remove chemical buildup and ensure tanks meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the wash area and warehouse.
• Assist production teams with material moves, staging, or other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in environments involving chemicals, moisture, or high-pressure equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical handling or tank-washing procedures is a plus.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Must be a team player.
