Schedule: Full-time, 1st Shift (Options: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM OR 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
The Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician is essential to the sustained, efficient operation of the Waukesha facility. This role is responsible for the daily execution of operational support, preventative maintenance, and minor repair activities necessary to maintain a safe, functional, and well-maintained physical infrastructure. This position actively supports the coordination of external vendors and ensures strict adherence to all site safety regulations and compliance standards.
The technician will execute a comprehensive range of facility support activities, including:
Routine Maintenance and Repair: Execute fundamental repairs and general maintenance tasks, such as minor drywall patching, door hardware adjustment and repair, and lighting component replacement.
Facility Inspection: Conduct regular, proactive inspections of the facility grounds and interior spaces to identify and document maintenance and repair requirements.
Preventive Maintenance Support: Assist in the implementation of the preventive maintenance program for essential building systems and equipment, operating under the guidance of supervisory personnel.
Technical Assistance: Provide direct support to licensed tradespeople and contractors during complex repairs, installations, and infrastructure projects.
System Monitoring: Monitor the operational status of core building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security) and promptly report any observed issues or malfunctions.
Logistics and Material Handling: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, to manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, specifically for loading and unloading transport trucks.
Workplace Configuration: Facilitate internal office relocations, furniture assembly, and the professional setup and reconfiguration of various workspaces.
Inventory Management: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance storage areas and tools, manage the stock of essential maintenance supplies, and submit timely requisitions for restock.
Service Response: Respond efficiently and effectively to minor facility-related service requests and address non-critical emergencies.
Safety and Compliance: Consistently follow established safety procedures and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
