Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join a well-established plastics manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensure compliance with ISO standards, and maintain the highest quality standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and maintain the plant’s Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.
Plan and conduct internal and external audits; ensure findings are documented and corrective actions are completed.
Read and interpret technical prints and drawings, ensuring products meet exact specifications.
Create, implement, and maintain quality procedures, control plans, and work instructions.
Utilize and train staff in measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for product inspections.
Supervise the daily activities of quality inspectors and ensure inspection consistency and accuracy.
Investigate non-conformances, manage root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans (CAPA).
Partner with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure ongoing training and development for quality department personnel.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in manufacturing, ideally in plastics or blow molding.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality auditing procedures.
Proficiency in print reading and GD&T.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools and managing inspection protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or SPC practices is a plus.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
Industry certifications such as CQE, CQA, or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.
