We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Family Support Worker to join our client's team in Freeport, IL. In this role, you will assist qualifying families in navigating and accessing public benefits. You will work directly with clients to assess their needs, provide guidance, and connect them with appropriate community resources.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to families in need of social services
• Guide clients through application processes for housing, healthcare, and other essential services
• Advocate on behalf of families to ensure access to available resources
• Maintain accurate records and follow up with clients to track progress
• Collaborate with social service agencies and community partners
• Utilize basic computer skills to manage documentation, data entry, and online applications

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Experience working with diverse populations in a social service or community support role
• Basic computer skills (email, word processing, data entry)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Compassionate and patient approach to client needs
