Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Summary: 

The Shipping & Receiving Associate l position ensures that our customers’ products are accurately labeled, documented, shipped according to schedule and receives materials and items per work instructions and communicates with Production Management, Account Managers, Stock Room, and Finance regarding shipping and receiving transactions and activity.

Essential Functions:

Shipping: 

• Follow weekly build/ship schedule for the department.
• Package product as they as assemblies are ready for shipping.
  
• Follow shipping documentation specifications which may include Certificate of Compliance (C of Cs), special labeling requirements etc.
  
• Communicate changes for redlining shipping instructions immediate supervisor/documentation department.
  
• Review daily shipping schedule and advise to immediate supervisor regarding additional daily labor needed in a timely manner to meet schedule.
  
• Review shipping and packing material inventory and prepare order list in a timely manner.
  
• Ensure that shipping area is clean, safe and maintained
  
• Prepare assemblies for freight shipments as required (UPS/FEDEX/DHL/COURIER etc.)
  
• Manually close the M2M job order portion after all assemblies have been shipped.
  
• Perform Shop Floor Manager transactions daily.
  
• Other duties as assigned.

Receiving:

• Receive, count, and reconcile with receivers. Record data in M2M or G/Drive as required.
• Unpack items to be stocked and stage in the receiving area for Stock Room personnel to process.
• Keep receiving station clean and organized and ensure area is free from safety hazards.
• Report damaged parts or material received and contact supervisor, purchasing and quality departments for proper disposition of product.
• Issue or distribute materials and supplies to coworkers, based on incoming requisitions.
• Create receivers in M2M with and without PO’s.
• Accurately perform M2M on hand adjustments as required.
• Keep work station clean and organized and ensure area is free from safety hazards
• Be proactive by reviewing the Ship Schedule Report, Shortage Report, and Shop Floor Manager
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years established work experience in shipping and receiving.
• Good communication skills and ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members, customers, vendors and other third parties.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and comprehend packing slips and order forms.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and identify all components and component part numbers.
• Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and be free from federal warrants and must not be on any Federal watch list.
• Ability to learn and follow ISO 9001 process.
• Proficient in MS Office- Word and Excel and ability to learn and utilize other Company software.

Physical Requirements: 

• Frequent standing, walking and stooping.
• Frequent repetitive motion tasks.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Perform shipping and receiving at a fast pace with urgency/accuracy.
• Must be able to work at computer or workstation for extended periods of time.
