Deli Manager

Located in Madison, WI

Salary: $25 - $30/hr

Express is hiring for a Deil Manager with a local food manufacturer in the Madison area. 

This is a great evaluation to hire opportunity to join a fun and reputable team in the food production industry!

 

We're looking for a permanent, full-time Manager to handle deli operations, ordering, pricing, and staffing. You'll report to ownership and work alongside the Controller, Production Manager and the logistics team.

 

Qualifications: 

• 3-5 years’ retail management experience focused on meat/deli/bakery
• Experienced at hiring, evaluating, coaching and discipling direct reports
• Effective leader; able to lead, manage and work alongside team members to accomplish company goals & timelines
• Great communicator; able to communicate ideas & expectations clearly and cheerfully to internal & external stakeholders (co-workers, employees, partners and customers)
• Good multi-tasker; supporting daily operations & customer needs while maintaining the high morale of our organization
• Skilled with retail systems like point-of-sale, credit card terminals, retail scales and ordering systems
• ServSafe certification is a plus, but we will get you trained so you can comfortably train staff and update safety plans

Tasks:

• Ordering product
• Inventory
• Pricing
• Staffing/scheduling other employees
• Working the deli counter about 50% of the time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm. Monday-Wednesday are our busiest days. Thursday and Friday get just as busy closer to Christmas. Flexible. 

 

Pay: $25 - $30/hour, depending on experience
