The Front Office Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service at the front desk. This role includes greeting guests, performing check-in and check-out procedures, managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival and departure experience. The position requires strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, efficient check-in and check-out process.
Respond to guest requests, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation options, and dining.
Resolve guest issues or escalate them to the appropriate manager when necessary.
Deliver consistently high levels of service aligned with the Holiday Inn brand standards.
Manage room assignments and reservations using the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS).
Verify billing details and process payments accurately.
Handle phone calls, messages, and emails in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain accurate guest records, logs, and reports.
Balance and reconcile cash drawers or shift reports when required.
Adhere to all IHG / Holiday Inn brand service standards and operational procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
Follow safety and security protocols, including identity verification and emergency procedures.
Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality of personal and financial information.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy or challenging situations.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with PMS systems is a plus.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in a branded hotel environment (IHG experience a plus).
Cash-handling experience.
Knowledge of local area attractions and services.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 lbs.
Perform repetitive tasks such as typing and handling paperwork.
Fast-paced, guest-centered hospitality setting.
Requires professional appearance and adherence to Holiday Inn grooming standards.
