A prefabricated building system manufacturer specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support production, improve efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards within the plant.

Job Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for training and mentoring electrical staff, creating work schedules, providing technical guidance, and troubleshooting system issues. This role also supports preventative maintenance activities and may involve repair and upkeep of on-site electrical equipment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills and has extensive knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems, ensuring all electrical work meets code and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate electrical team to meet production demands

• Plan installation and wiring of equipment—including cable trays, generators, switches, panelboards, HVAC units, and load centers—based on wiring diagrams

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and written or verbal instructions

• Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and ensure proper installation and maintenance

• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations

• Assist with Preventative Maintenance for plant and office facilities

• Complete administrative tasks such as verifying time sheets and production notes

• Perform additional duties as assigned, including housekeeping and general labor tasks

Requirements:

• Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred

• Minimum 10 years of electrical experience, including:

  • At least 2 years of formal technical training in electrical principles and design

  • Strong working knowledge of construction math, blueprint interpretation, and technical drawings

  • Experience with power/hand tools, including conduit benders

  • Knowledge of panels, UPS systems, and controls

  • Previous job-site electrical installation experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license; must pass drug screen and background check

• Ability to meet physical requirements, including:

  • Working on knees

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Occasional outdoor work

• Willingness to perform all assigned tasks and assist outside core responsibilities as needed

• Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient, and reliable

• PPE required, including steel-toed or EH composite-toed footwear

• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and staying late until tasks are completed

• May operate forklifts, MEWPs, and other equipment after training

• May ride in or drive company vehicles with authorization
