Position: Cold Header Set-Up Operator (1st Shift)

Summary:
The Cold Header Set-Up Operator is responsible for operating and setting up wire-fed cold heading machines to manufacture fasteners according to precise specifications. This is a hands-on position ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who excel at precision work and machine troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up cold header machines for both short- and long-run production.
• Align, adjust, and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials for production.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor feed rate, wire tension, and machine speed to maintain production quality.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on assigned equipment.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

Qualifications:

• 1 – 5 years of cold header or metal-forming experience preferred with bolt makers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
