Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Portland, OR 
Shift: Day Shift Monday–Friday, 8:00AM 4:30PM
Pay: $19.00/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, preparing and staging orders, organizing inventory, and operating material-handling equipment while following all quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping

• Verify goods against shipping documents

• Pack and label shipments per specifications

• Prepare bills of lading and record weights/charges

• Load shipments and maintain supply inventory

• Maintain inbound/outbound freight logs

Receiving

• Unpack and label incoming goods

• Verify shipments against bills of lading/packing slips

• Record received, damaged, or misdirected items

• Route materials to storage

Warehouse

• Pick orders using a barcode scanner

• Maintain clean and safe work areas

• Assist with inventory cycle counts

• Move materials to stocking locations

• Fill will-call orders

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Warehouse or inventory experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to read, write, and understand English

• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and barcode scanners
