Inventory Control Specialist

The primary responsibility is managing cylinder control operations, including customer
cylinder transactions, inter-branch cylinder tracking, gas inventory tracking, and electronic
storage of inventory data.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Create, validate, reconcile, and invoice gas orders – for customer transactions and
inter-company transfers.
• Maintain cylinder tracking data integrity. Work with branches and users to ensure
compliance with all aspects of cylinder tracking.
• Resolve data discrepancies and perform accounting adjustments to correct errors.
• Create credits and/or rebills when requested.
• Become proficient with TIMS ACM cylinder tracking and related processes.
• Create and analyze reports to catch and correct negative asset balances on
customer accounts.
• Ensure accurate cylinder and lease records by customer account.
• Resolve cylinder audits; communicate with salespeople and/or customers regarding
audit results. Create invoices for lost assets when needed.
• Reconcile daily truck reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting
software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculators,
and copiers.
• Good time-management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced
environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with other employees
and customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Prior experience with inventory control preferred.
• 6 months of knowledge of retail welding and propane/cryogenic products and
equipment helpful but not required.
