Direct Hire Opportunity – Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic to join their growing team! In this advanced-level role, you will perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on commercial trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment at various field locations. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed professional with strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic capabilities who can ensure reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction with minimal supervision.

Mechanic Schedule:

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling
• Monday – Friday | [Insert Standard Hours]
• Availability for after-hours or weekend service calls as needed

Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Independently perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and hydraulics
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete complex repairs to ensure fleet readiness and compliance with DOT standards
• Utilize diagnostic software, service manuals, and OEM systems to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues efficiently
• Provide expert on-site and emergency road service to customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of breakdowns
• Maintain detailed service documentation, repair logs, and parts usage in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
• Manage service truck inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for field operations
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to safe work practices and regulatory compliance

Mechanic Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck, diesel, or fleet maintenance, including field service experience
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL not required
• Ability to work independently in varied environments and adapt to customer needs in real time
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Mechanic Pay Rate:

• $30–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications
